It’s sort of a tradition for me to photoshop a header for my stories… but there was honestly no way I could make that image funnier and that is an actual screenshot from the game. The game was released last month in the UK with a PEGI 3 rating (which is the equivalent of an E rating from the ESRB). Nintendo of Europe released an official statement in defense of the game:
While the game does warn users while downloading songs that they are not individually rated by PEGI; it also does not tell users which songs contain explicit lyrics. There is an option to enable Parental Controls… but all that does is require a pin code for EVERY song in the game despite its content.
There is no word on Wii Karaoke U being released in the US… but I suggest we all start yelling obscenities at children just in case. In the meantime enjoy watching a Spanish guy’s Mii singing Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”:
