Apparently, through a massively convoluted puzzle and subtle hints placed in the Warrior Devspeak video, users on the Wildstar forums and Reddit compiled them and some how ended up at this video by Disclaimer Guy:
Which appears to have been uploaded to YouTube on November 1st, almost a week before the Warrior Devspeak was released. It claims that the Wildstar marketing team had no idea that the developers would be announcing the Hoverboard, which strongly implies it was to be kept under wraps for quite a bit longer.
As unfortunate as it is for their marketing department, its great news for us! Who wouldn’t want a hoverboard mount?!? The only correct answer to that is Marty McFly (because he already has one.)
Wildstar is shaping up to be one very interesting game, and who knows what else the developers have in store for us?
