What is World of Warcraft: Legion?
World of Warcraft: Legion is the sixth expansion pack for the legendary MMORPG World of Warcraft, following Warlords of Draenor. The schedule for release is August 30th, 2016. The game will take place after the events of the previous expansion, in the Broken Isles – an island chain near the Maelstrom in the middle of the Great Sea.
The expansion raises the existing level cap from 100 to 110, features artifact weapons for each class’ specializations, includes a new area on Azeroth called the Broken Isles. It also introduces the new Demon Hunter hero class that starts at level 98. It will initially include ten five-man dungeons and two raids.
What will the beta include?
The beta includes a ton of content to keep eager testers busy throughout. Blizzard has noted that all the content within the beta is still in development and details may be subject to change at any time during the testing.
What testers will see during the beta may not be what reaches the final product. Beta testers will be able to create characters using level 100 templates, so they will be primed and ready to explore the newest content.
The new content testers can expect to experience includes:
New Hero Class: Demon Hunter New Continent: Broken Isles New Dungeons New Raids New World Bosses Character Changes Class Changes World Scaling Revamped PVP and Honor System New Transmogrification Collections System: Appearance
These are just some of the features that participants will be able to explore and test during their time in beta.
Time to get busy
With such an enormous amount of new content, testers are sure to be kept busy. There is no NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the Legion beta test. Players will be able to discuss their experiences of the game with family, friends, and players alike.
The lack of NDA means that players will be taking screenshots, making and uploading videos, and streaming. The sheer amount of content that is in the beta test looks amazing. If this is what is coming in the beta, I can’t begin to imagine what the complete final product is going to be like.
